i want to know about the admission process for b tech in 2nd year through lateral entry is possible , if it is then i would request you to give the admission process for the best colleges in india lyk nsit , dtu ,....etc?

dear friend,
for getting lateral entry to in second year of b.tech directly, you will first have to give an entrance exam. every state conducts its own entrance exam like there is leet for haryana. if you score good marks in that exam, then only you will get admission in a good engineering college. there is no lateral entry in nit and iit colleges. if you want to take admission in these colleges then you will have to take admission in first year only and that too by giving aieee or iit jee exam. you can give lateral entry exam of any state of your choice.

I would like to say about AICTE norms being followed by Uttarakhand Technical University for B. Tch. Lateral entry(B.Sc. stream)
Total 1436 (One thousand four hundred thirty six) diploma stream candidates and 42 (forty two) B. Sc. Stream candidates were called for counseling scheduled w. e. f. 13.7.11.
As per their formula: First 1436 diploma stream candidates were called for counseling and alloted seats to them on priority.Lateron remaining vacant seats were ropted by Rank holder of 1st of B. Sc. Stream.It looks like a combined merit list has been prepared for total 1478 candidates i.e. (1436 42) in which 1st rank holder of B. Sc. Stream is treated as 1437th rank.
It seems to me that this may be misinterpretation of AICTE norms for lateral entry and strongly condemn the norms being followed by Uttarakhand Technical University for B. Tech. Lateral Entry (2011) for candidates belonging to B. Sc. Stream.

I will pass my diploma in electrical in 2012 from haryana .can i got admission in parttime B.tech in your collage

The btech admission in the 2nd year after diploma is through the given way
1. Write the lateral entry test conducted by govt engineering colleges
2. Get good rank in the examination
3. Get allotted to a good engineering college
The prestigious institutes like IIT and NIT has no lateral entry

for Lateral Entry..you should either already be pursuing an under graduate course in another college or should be a Diploma holder..
Except for IITs and NITs,most of the colleges conduct the lateral entry exams and students who clear this exam get direct admission to the 2nd year of B.Tech..

for this..you just need to contact your desired college in which you want to take admission into..you just have to apply for that college and clear the lateral entry exam and you will get direct admission into that college..

I m given my diploma final year exame in 2012 april. Can i take admison in dce coleg of engg. My last semester marks is 69%. In electrical engg.
