Dear Sir ,

My son got 9412 All india rank in General category in AIEEE , he is out side from Delhi , can he get dce or NSIT admission.Pl. give reply.

sir,actually problem is what for dce and nsit outside quote is only 20%.


these rank is not enough to get addmission there because dce and nsit are closed at the rank of 4000.

DCE and NSIT are in the top 15 engineering colleges in India. So very obviously the demand amongst the candidates for a seat in these two colleges is very high.

However DCE and NSIT together hold 20% seats which are filled with the AIEEE counselling.

Now it depends whether you are from GEN category, or OBC/ST/SC, 9412 rank is a very good rank if you look at it in terms of the All India Competition, whereas getting a seat in DCE/NSIT would be a tough call.

Now every year, it varies. Many people opt out the infamous courses, and so seats may be available for the late ranks. However you would not get a course of your choice, even if you get a seat.

I would suggest, the you have a very good rank. Keep aside these two, you can always try for other better colleges in India. The course which you are studying also matters a lot in future.
