IIM Ahmadabad offers One-Year Post Graduate Programme in Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP). PGP-PMP is an innovative programme especially for civil servants, managers of government, public enterprises, NGOs and executives of private sector firms engaged in public management. IIM Ahmadabad is without doubt and unarguably the best management institute in the country. The PGP-PMP programme introduced by them is through relatively new having started in 2007 but is very effective and advantageous for the people involved in Public Management and Policy.

Candidates can apply for admission in PGP-PMP programme through GMAT/GRE/CAT scores or IIMA’s special test for those who have not appeared for either of these exams. Candidates shortlisted through either of these exams and other criteria like Experience, Academic Record etc will be called for a Personal Interview after which final selections will be done. The Institute requires no additional information regarding the legacy as well as quality of this elite management based Institute, which is of course IIM, Ahmadabad is.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates applying for the programme should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with
(a) Seven or more years of work experience in a supervisory/managerial/administrative position OR
(b) Legislative experience provided their age is 27 years or more and they have one or more years of experience as a minister at the central level or as a member of parliament or 2 years or more of experience as minister at the state level or as member of the legislative assembly/council or have served for 5 years or more as councilor of municipal corporation or jilla parishad.

Application form for the programme will be available for download through the website www.iimahd.ernet.in/pmp/. Candidates are advised to go through each and every instruction with utmost care and then fill up the application form online. However they can also avail the application form cum prospectus through post. They have to only forward a requisite letter as well as a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the Registrar of the Institute, along with a minimal amount of stamps and forward it to the concerned authority.
