Recruitment to various posts in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is carried out on the basis of written test and interview. There will be a maximum of 150 multiple choice questions which should be answered in 2 hours. Applications should be sent by post to the regional center within stipulated time. Application fee is Rs. 50/-.
Scheme of Examination for Recruitment in DRDO

The organization conducts written examination as part of selection procedure. There will be objective type multiple choice questions in the examination. Below mentioned is the detailed information about the syllabus as well as exam pattern for each post.

For Senior Technical Assistant:

There will be one hundred and fifty questions in the examination. Of these, fifty questions will be asked from the topics such as General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, General Intelligence, and General Science. Remaining 100 questions will be asked from the core subject required for qualification. Medium of instruction will be in Hindi and English Language.

For Assistant Hindi:

Candidates can expect a maximum of hundred objective type questions. Of these 50 questions will be asked from General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Remaining 50 questions will be asked from English and Hindi language.

For Admin Assistant ‘A’ & Store Assistant ‘A’:

There will be a maximum of one hundred and fifty questions. Of these, fifty questions will be asked from General Awareness, General Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Aspirants can expect 50 questions from General English. Questions will be asked from Basic English grammar and reading comprehension. Remaining fifty questions will be asked from Hindi or English language.

For Civilian Driver ‘A’, Security Assistant ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver and Fireman:

Aspirants can expect 100 questions from the topics such as General reasoning, Arithmetic and Numerical Ability and General Awareness. In addition to this, twenty five questions will be asked from topics related to specific trades. Remaining twenty five questions will be asked from Hindi or English language.

Application Procedure

Application form to various posts in DRDO can be downloaded from the official website of the organization. Candidates are required to fill in all columns legibly in their own hand writing. In addition to this, candidates can apply online from the official portal of the organization. Applicants are required to attach self attested copies of supporting documents and a valid id card. They can select the center of the examination while filling up the application form. Application fee of Rs. 50/- should be paid by taking Indian Postal Order in favor of “The Director, CEPTAM, Delhi”, payable at Delhi. Those who are belonging to reserved categories are exempted from fee payment. Fully filled in application form as well as details of fee payment should be sent to “DRDO Entry Test- 2012, Post Box No. 8626, Delhi-110 054” within stipulated time.
