Airport Authority of India (AAI) has invited applications for the position of Junior Assistant (Fire Service). Diploma holders in any of the subjects like mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, or fire engineering can apply till 30-05-2013. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Those with NCC ‘B’ Certificate or adequate work experience in aviation/regular/industrial fire service are given weightage. Apart from all these conditions, eligible candidate must be physically fit also.

Educational Qualifications for AAI ‘Junior Assistant (Fire Service)’ Recruitment

Pass in 10th is the basic qualification required. Such candidates must also obtain a 3 year diploma with a minimum of 50% marks. Diploma course must be obtained in any of the following subjects.

• Mechanical Engineering
• Automobile Engineering
• Fire Engineering

Required qualification must be obtained from any of the government recognized Universities/institutions.

Age Requirements for for AAI ‘Junior Assistant (Fire Service)’ Recruitment

Upper age limit to apply for the job profile is 30 years, calculated as on 30/05/2013. Relaxation in age is given for reserved category candidates. This is given in the order of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Reservation for ex-servicemen is offered on the basis of their length of service.

Driving license requirements for AAI ‘Junior Assistant (Fire Service)’ Recruitment

Eligible candidate must have a valid heavy vehicle driving license. Otherwise, they must hold a valid medium vehicle license not older than one year (issued before 30-04-2013). Those holding a valid LMV license (issued at least 2 years before) is also eligible to apply.

Other Desirable Qualifications for AAI ‘Junior Assistant (Fire Service)’ Recruitment

Weightage will be given for candidates who satisfy any of the following conditions.

• Having studied computer science at 12th class level
• NCC ‘B’ Certificate holder
• Pursued Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment
• Adequate work experience in aviation/regular/industrial fire service
• Completed Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur

• Near vision – N5
• Distance vision – 6/6
• Colour Vision – Normal

Near vision and distance vision standards are applicable to both eyes without glasses.

• Weight — greater than 55 Kg
• Speech – Normal
• Height — Above 167 cm
• Hearing –Normal
• Chest –81 cm normal, expansion (minimum) — 5 Cms
