Station Officer, Legal Assistant, Union Public Service Commission
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an autonomous entity which came into existence after the Federal Public Service Commission was renamed to Union Public Service Commission on January 26, 1950. Initially the commission was established with the name of Federal Public Service Commission on October 1, 1926. It was established under the Act of Government of India, 1935. It was founded under the Article 315 of Constitution of India. The commission actually consists of a chairman and ten other members. The commission is responsible to conduct competitive written test and interview test for the canidates interested in government jobs.
Job Profile:
Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the following positions of Station Officer and Legal Assistant in Union Public Service Commission. Selected candidates will be recruited in various ministeries and departments of Government of India. Candidates are required to fulfill all the eligibility conditions set for the above two specified posts.
Eligibility:
The upper age limit set for the post of Station Officer and Legal Assistant is 30 years. Candidates are required to have age less than the 30 years or else their application may not be considered by the commission. Relaxation of few years in the prescribed maximum age limit will be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
Station Officer: Degree in Science from a recognized university or equivalent with Station Officer’s course of NFSC, Nagpur and three years experience in fire fighting in Civil or Defence fire service organization. Candidates possessing qualification of Bachelor of Engineering (fire) from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the post.
Legal Assistant: Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent with three years experience in legal work in a Government Department.

Pay Scale:
Station Officer: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Legal Assistant: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Application Fee:
An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by the interested candidates (Only General and OBC categories candidates). The application fee must be paid through the means of a Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
