Admission Procedure in T.John Institute of Technology
Admission to UG courses in engineering are done as per the rules of Karnataka State Government. Those who have completed 12th class studies with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply. The candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in these subjects. Study of 12th must be completed from CBSE or State Board of Karnataka or equivalent. Apart from these qualifications, aspirant must have appeared for any of the entrance test like CET or COMEDK. Around 55% of the approved seats are filled through CET. Twenty five percentage of admissions are done through COMEDK and remaining twenty percentage through management quota.
Engineering graduates can apply for M.Tech degree in the concerned subject. Eligible candidate must have obtained the qualification with a minimum of 50% marks. SC/ST candidates need to hold at least 45% marks only. Admission process is made on the basis of GATE score.
Graduation in any subject is the qualification required for MBA. Fifty percentage of the seats are filled are filled on the basis of PGCET score and rest on the basis of KMAT score. Bachelor degree holders with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for MCA. Here also 50% of the merit seats are filled according to PGCET score and the remaining 50% on the basis of KMAT/ PGCET/ MAT score.
Master degree holders in engineering (M.E/M.Tech) can apply for Ph.D courses. Admissions are made through VTU entrance test and counseling.
