BK School of Business Management 2011
BK School of Business Management conducts an admission process for admission to its two year MBA program. It was established in 1976. In 2003 it started following University Examination System of Gujarat University. BK Management School is considered to be a highly reputed institute for management education in the country. It is located in Ahmedabad in Gujarat University and has a very good infrastructure and offers several facilities. The Institute is dedicated in developing individuals that can adapt within the changing environment of the business circuit.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA program in BK School of Business Management on the basis of their Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) scores. Therefore for admission candidates have to appear for GCET. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their GCET scores have to appear in a Personal Interview and General Discussion for final selection process.
There are 60 seats in the MBA program of BK School of Business Management. The total number of MBA based seats in the Institute is 60. The Institute is dedicated for providing a balanced form of management based knowledge that ranges from the practical based aspects to the theoretical based aspects. The candidates are expected to achieve an excellent career opportunities within the Financial, Marketing or Human Resources.
Campus and Infrastructure: The Institute is located within the vicinity of the Main University Building Complex. Institute of high cadre such as Sardar Patel Institute of Economic Research, ATIRA, etc are located within the campus. The Institute offers high grade audio visual equipments that are very effective in implementing Management based Knowledge to the candidates. Even shopping facility are located within the campus of the Institute that offers commodities at a economic rates.
The State Bank of India has also a branch within the Campus along with the presence of the full time Medical officers that remain attached to the Institute Health Care Center. The Institutes also houses a well celebrated student’s activity center named “Guru Nanak Bhawan”.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply. The candidate’s nationality as well as age is of vital importance during the admission process.
Important Dates:
GCET Round 1: Last week of June, 2011 to First week of July, 2011
GCET Round 2: First week of July, 2011 to Mid week of July, 2011
Selection process:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their GCET scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.
GCET entrance consists of 150 objective type questions to be attempted in 2 hours divided as follows:
1. 40 questions from English Language skill.
2. 50 questions from Quantitative aptitude.
3. 30 questions from Analytic and logical reasoning
4. 30 General knowledge questions.

Those who are intrested in port Management may note the following
1. Port Management is a two yr full time PG Programme at BK School.
2. Admissions based on GCET 2010, and form will be seperated filled at B.K School.
3. Total 30 seats, 20 seats reserved for B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc candidates and 10 seats for B.Com/BBA students. No seats for Arts Students.
4. For sponsered seats only letters from the companies specified by Gujarat University are valid.
5. For further details regarding the sponsor letter contact the course co-ordinator.
6. For admissions GCET is mandatory.
7. Approx fees is 80,000 for 4 semesters.(Subject to change).
