College of Engineering is located at Pune in the state of Maharashtra, and is the third largest college after College of Engineering, Guindy and IIT Roorkee in Asia. This institute was awarded with a complete autonomous status by the government of the state in the year 2004. The college is affiliated to the University of Pune and is fully autonomous engineering institute. This status gives it an edge of carving out the syllabus every time it needs according to the industrial demand and market requirement.

Placement

The track record of college in this respect has been exceptional. The college’s placement cell has established strong links with the biggest multinationals around the globe of which a few can be named as WIPRO, CTS, Transmatic System Limited, Hindustan Lever Limited, Terumo Penpol Limited, IBM and HCL.

Infrastructure

The college has an exhaustive campus covering a land area of 225 acres. There are separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels have both non AC and AC rooms for accommodation. A standalone health and medical centre is built within the campus premises. The well furnished central library is located in three storied building with a huge collection of books, CD-ROMs and journals for the students of various departments.

Courses Offered

The college offers bachelor level program in a number of engineering discipline, namely, Computer Science, Civil, Applied Science, Electrical, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical and Instrumentation & Control.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria

The new session admissions are done in the months of June & July. The admission criteria are very high in sync with the college’s fame. The score in MCET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) decides the eligibility of a student for admission.

The college also provides admission to foreign candidates who pass their criteria. The aspirants should have a minimum of 50% aggregate at their HSC or equivalent level.
