Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies shortly called as AMPICS came into existence in the year 1999 on the month of August. The institute was established with the objective of offering quality computer training and education. AMPICS is offering courses with affiliation from Ganpat University and it is acting as a constituent unit of the same university.

Course Details:

The only computer studies course offered by AMPICS is Master of Computer Application. The duration of this course is three years and the institute is permitted to admit 60 students per year for this course.

Eligibility for admission:

For applying to the MCA course offered by the institute, candidates must have completed their under graduate degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education or any other equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate  of 50% of marks.

Admission Procedure:

Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies admits students to the MCA course based on the merit secured by the students in the Common admission test. The institute also follows the admission norms issued by Government of Gujarat and Ganpat University.

Library at the institute:

The campus of Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies, include a central library facility with a rich collection of periodicals, compact discs and books. There are about 11100 books, 2000 CDs, 3000 different titles and it is subscribing for nine periodicals, ten international journals and six national journals.

E-Governance: Smart Campus:

E-Governance Project Smart campus program is in the implementation phase in the campus of AMPICS. With this software all the activities like college administration, transportation, staff information, students information, MIS, placement, fee collection, payroll, library, attendance, examination, department details and admission details will get computerized thereby enabling the authorities of the institute to get quick reports regarding examination, attendance of students, etc… When this software gets implemented students will be provided with RFID card and students can also be benefitted by getting access to different information like their attendance record, syllabus, etc…
