Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is a multi-disciplinary organization that works under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The primary function of the SFIO involves detecting and prosecuting or recommending for prosecution white-collar crimes/frauds.

The main office of the SFIO is located at New Delhi, and its Regional office is located at Mumbai. The primary functions of Additional Director post is to supervise and coordinate the members of investigating team for examination of the investigation cases related to relevant field.

The primary function of the Private Secretary is to render secretarial assistance to the Head of department of SFIO. The role of the Personal Assistant is to render secretarial assistance to the officers of Group A level and to look after other miscellaneous works.
