Candidates having completed 12th class with mathematics as a subject can apply for Integrated M.Tech course in IIIT-B (International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore). As part of the selection process candidate must pass joint entrance examination (JEE) conducted by CBSE. Applications for pursing the course can be submitted online, through the web portal of IIIT-B, before is 10th July, 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for Integrated M.Tech in IIIT-B

In order to apply for Integrated M.Tech course in IIIT-B, candidates must complete at least 12th class from any of the recognized institutes with a minimum of 60% marks. They must have studied mathematics as a specific subject in this level. Those candidates who are doing last year of 12th class can also apply, provided they are able to meet the eligibility requirements by August 2013. Apart from this, candidates with the following eligibility criteria can apply for Integrated M.Tech in IIIT-B –

  • Candidates having completed a 2 year course undertaken by the joint services wing of National Defense Academy (NDA)
  • Diploma holders, who have obtained the qualification from any of the institutes under State Board of Technical Education

Selection Procedure for Integrated M.Tech in IIIT-B

It is compulsory for candidates to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) so as to attain selection to this course. IIT –JEE is a joint entrance examination organized by Central Board of Secondary Education. The exam is conducted in two stages, prelims and mains. Those who pass prelims can try for mains and subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics form the syllabus for the test. Candidates qualified in IIT JEE should mention their score while submitting applications.

Application Procedure for Integrated M.Tech in IIIT-B

Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of IIIT- B. Before initiating the application process, they must pay the application fee of Rs 1000/- . It is possible to make the application fee payment either through Demand Draft (DD) in favor of the IIIT institute to be paid at Bangalore. On the other hand, candidates can also make the cash payment using bank challan. It is necessary to take a print out of the SBI bank challan, fill the required details and deposit the same in any SBI bank branches. Candidates must fill in all the 3 main pages of the application form namely - personal information page, enrollment information page and competitive exam details page correctly. Candidates will be assigned an application ID number along with password for further login. Once the online application forms are submitted, candidates can take a print out of the same for further use.
