Alpha College of Engineering was established in 2006 and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It belongs to Alpha Group of Institutions which is managed by Alpha Educational Society. The society manages and runs three schools, one Arts and Science College and this Engineering College. The college has gained reputation within a short span of time. It is constructed on a vast campus of 60 acres in the suburban part of Chennai which provides total serene atmosphere for learning.

Four main streams in Engineering are offered in Alpha College of Engineering.

• B.E. in Computer Science &Engineering

• B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering

• B.E. in Bio-medical Engineering

• B.Tech. in Information Technology

Master of Business Administration is the only PG course currently available in this college.

Admission Procedure:

The admission is based on the rules and norms of the Anna University, Chennai. The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years and maximum age should be 20 years as on 1st July on the year of application. Eligibility for applying for Bachelor of Engineering course is a pass in higher secondary examination minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The percentage of marks is relaxed for reserved category students.

Facilities offered:

The college campus holds a hostel with enriched amenities suitable for the candidates. The central library has a vast collection of books. In addition to this a medical center and ATM service of Bank and a canteen are run inside the campus. College buses are transporting students from various areas of Chennai.

Placement:

Guidance center in the college trains and imparts guidance to the students with respect to developing their communication skills and personality as a whole. Special job oriented training are given here for adapting the students for the new job. Many big organizations such as CTS, Bajaj Capital, HCL, Citibank, Walmet Corporation are providing ample opportunities for the deserving candidates.
