Alphonsa College owes its origin to the magnificent philanthropy, benefaction, wisdom and vision of Mar Sebastian Vayalil, who was the first bishop of the region of Pala. The college was formed in the year 1964 as a junior college with just 13 teachers and 400 students and now the college has attained the status of first grade women’s college.

Admission Procedure:

The students should apply to the college by getting the application form from the premises of the college. In the total number of seats, 50% of the seats are filed on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination and out of the remaining 50%, 20% of the seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates, 20% for management quota and 10% for catholic students. Students with NCC/NSS background will be given special preference in the process of admission.
