Amar Bharatiya Shiksha Mahavidyalaya came into existence in the academic year 2003-04 and the college was established due to the efforts of the Chauhan S.S.P & S.K. Samiti at Tatipur of Gwalior. The college aims at preparing competent, capable and good future teachers, who will be in a position to prepare knowledgeable future citizens. The college follows different methods of teaching like computer teaching, science experiments, psychology experiments, practice teaching, microteaching and regular classes by experienced and qualified faculty members.

Diploma and UG courses are offered by the college in the faculty of education. The duration of Diploma course in education is two years, while that of Bachelor of Education is one year. Intake capacity of the college for the diploma and UG course in education is 50 students and 100 students respectively. For seeking admission to the Bachelor of Education course, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline, while for the Diploma in Education course, candidates must have completed their intermediate course in any discipline and both these courses must have been completed from the recognized university and board respectively.

Amar Bhartiya Shiksha Mahavidyalaya is located at a distance of about 1.5 kms from the nearest bus stand and railway station and public transportation facilities are frequently available to the college. The campus of the college has its own practicing school for enabling the future teachers to get teaching practice even before they complete their education course from the institution.
