Angappa College of Arts & Science was established in the year 1997 by the Angappa Educational Trust. It started to function in the campus of T.A. Ramalingam Chettiar Higher Secondary School and it was shifted to its present campus in the year 1999. The college is offering courses under the affiliation of Bharathiar University located at Coimbatore.

Eligibility for admission:

Candidates who have completed their higher secondary examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Higher education board or the central board or any other state board approved by Bharathiar University are eligible for admission to the UG courses offered by Angappa College of arts & science. As far as integrated five-year course in M. Sc software system, students should have completed their higher secondary examination with mathematics as a subject. For M. com course, candidates must have completed their B. Com or any other degree course in the commerce stream. For M.S.W course, candidates can be graduates in any discipline.

Facilities offered by the college:

The campus of the college includes two different computer laboratories for UG and PG courses. The laboratories are fully air-conditioned with modern computers. An electronics lab is also functioning under the college and students are allowed access to labs not only during college hours, but also after college hours and during semester and weekly holidays as well.

Placement cell:

The placement cell functioning under the college focuses on offering training to the students in group discussion and aptitude. It also offers career counseling to the budding professionals.
