Structure of Annamalai University B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc Horticulture Entrance Exam

This exam will include three parts of multiple choice questions. The subjects in these three parts will be Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should pass the higher secondary exam or its equivalent with the following subjects given below

• Mathematics or Botany or Biology as first subject
• Physics as second subject
• Chemistry as third subject
• One elective as fourth subject

Elective subjects for those who studied Mathematics as first subject should be Biology or Computer Science or Statistics or Biochemistry or Home Science. Elective subject for those who studied Botany as first subject should be Zoology. Elective subjects for those who studied Biology as first subject should be Computer Science or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Nursing or Nutritional Dietetics.

How to Apply?

Applicants can purchase the application form directly from the Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar-608002 after paying the required fee. They can also receive it through post by sending a demand draft of required fee along with a stamped self-addressed envelope and request letter. DD should be taken in the name of the Registrar, Annamalai University. Name and address of the applicant should be written on the back side of the demand draft, payable at Chennai. Application fee should be paid for this entrance exam by different category are given below

• SC/ST: Rs.500/-
• Others: Rs.300/-

Application forms of this entrance exam should be filled completely without any errors before sending it to the concerned authority.

How to fill the Form?

Applicants should use capital letters to enter the name of the applicant into the boxes specified in the form. Also it should be same as in the Higher Secondary or equivalent certificate of the applicant. Applicants should enter every detail completely and carefully into the form before sending it to the concerned authority.

Study Plan

For an entrance exam, students should study as early as possible. They should prepare a good study plan for managing the time available to study for this entrance exam. First of all they should be aware of the topics asked in the exam. Students should refer the syllabus of this exam available on the notification to get a better understanding of the topics. Then they should collect good study materials of these topics either by visiting several websites or through shops. They should select those materials which give simple explanation of major concepts.

These materials should also have exercises like problems, descriptive questions about the topics. After collecting the study materials, students should start their preparations by strictly following a study plan. Study plan should include the topics to be studied each day and the time allocated for each of them. Students should try to complete their target specified for each day and revise the studied topics during every weekend. They should prepare notes while studying so as to revise it later.

Apart from studying with study materials, they also need to practice questions with old question papers of this exam. This will help them to solve variety of questions with less time.
