Engineering graduates having valid score in GATE can participate in BHEL ‘Engineer Trainee’ recruitment process. Eligible candidates must first of all make their fee payment through any of the branches of SBI. After that they can submit their application via online method. Such candidates who have submitted the application successfully will be issued with an acknowledgement slip.

Application Procedure for BHEL ‘Engineer Trainee’ Recruitment

Fee Payment: First step in the application process is the payment of fees. Application fee in this case is Rs. 100/-. The amount can be paid through any of the branches of SBI. Challan form for fee payment can be downloaded from the official portal of BHEL. The challan form consists of three parts, an applicant’s copy, BHEL copy, and Bank copy.  Upon submitting the filled up challan form and application fee, SBI will allot a unique journal number. This journal number must be kept safe as it need to be mentioned while submitting online application. While collecting the challan form after fee payment, candidate should ensure the availability of banker’s seal / signature in the challan form.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST or physically challenged group need not pay any application fee.

Online Application Submission: Applications for recruitment can be forwarded through the official portal of BHEL. Before starting the online application process, candidate must read the general instructions given in BHEL website. Candidate should ensure that they meet the desired eligibility criteria as mentioned in the recruitment notification. All details including GATE registration number, fee journal number, etc must be entered correctly. Accuracy of information is much essential as there is no provision for further correction.

Acknowledgement: On successful submission of the online application, an acknowledgment slip will be issued to the candidate, which consists of a unique acknowledgement number. One must download two copies of acknowledgment slip. One copy must be retained by the candidate for future reference. Another copy of the acknowledgment slip, filled up and pasted with a recent photograph must be send to the postal address of BHEL. Along with this, candidate should submit documents like Category certificates, Ex-Servicemen documents; J & K domicile certificate, PG degree certificate, BHEL Challan copy etc.

Submission of PG degree certificate should be done those candidates who claim age relaxation on the basis of PG qualification.  Envelope enclosing all these documents must be super scribed with the position applied for and the stream to which application is submitted (eg: Engineer Trainee (Mechanical)).
