The state of Madhya Pradesh is seen to have an inclination towards education which can be inferred by the adoption of the compulsory and free education policy by the state government for children below the age of 14. It is counted as one of the most educated states with a literacy rate of64.11%. For being able to get subject of their choice as the honors subject one needs to pass through the eligibility criteria of individual subject for example, to opt for history honors one should have secured 55% Aggregate + 55% in History + 55% in English/Bengali in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
