Indian Institute of Technology (Rajasthan) was established in the year 2008 under Government of India. Mr. prem K. Kalra is the Director of the institute. The campus of the institute is spreaded in an area of approximatley 900 acres. The institute is actually a public university which is one of the eight new IITs started functioning from 2008. The institute was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The first ever academic session in the institute was commenced in the year 2008 only and that in the month of August. 1. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: 4 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline or specialization with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Minimum 6 years experience in teaching or research or industry, is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:

Educational Qualification: Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline or specialization with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Minimum 3 years experience in teaching or research or industry, is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor (on contract):

Educational Qualification: Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline or specialization with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Minimum 1 year experience in teaching or research or industry, is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Selection Process:

Selection of best suitable candidates will be made through the conduct of a Personal Interview test. Only eligible shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear in the interview test with the selection committee. The selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of their performance in the interview test.
