Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University came into existence in the year 1923 on the 4th of August in the name of Nagpur University with 927 students and six affiliated colleges under its control. At present, the university has 37 PG teaching departments, three constituent college and 439 affiliated colleges under its control thereby offering education in different faculties.
