Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or B.Sc Nursing is a 4 year professional course. In India the course is registered under and is controlled by Indian Nursing Council. How to fill in B.Sc Nursing Entrance Application form

Candidates have two options for filling the application, online mode and that of online. For filling online go to the administrator website of the concerning entrance exam and fill the requirements. After that the students are required to take the print out of the completed form. This print out along with the obligatory documents and DD of specified amount are needed to be sent to the relevant exam body. For offline application the student can get the form along with the brochure from the exam body or from the designated centers and can finish the formality. One should give great attention while filling the form. You can use a pencil or pen as per the instruction. It is better to take a photocopy of the form first and then fill the necessary columns correctly and then complete the original form. This will help to avoid mistakes.

B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam Pattern

The entrance exam is of objective type with minimum of 4-5 options, mainly of 400 marks. The duration is set to be 2hrs. The students will give the OMR sheet for marking their answers. There are negative marks for each wrong answer, so the students are asked to fill only the sure answers. The questions are asked from the subjects PCB and the questions are mainly set in English.

B.Sc Nursing course curriculum

According to the Nursing Council of India, the B.Sc Nursing course is a 4 year/8 semester program. The first year consist of 7 subject papers with English paper. Second year constitute 3 papers along with a language paper. In the third year and final year have 5 papers each. Along with theory they have Nursing practices which also comes under evaluation. The number of subject papers and order can vary according to the universities and at the end of the course the student need to undergone an internship program.

B.Sc Nursing Specializations

Specializations are accessible in the Masters program of nursing. Different university offers different specialization for the post graduates like Community Health, Medical-Surgical, and Pediatrics etc.

B.Sc Nursing Course Evaluation

The evaluation is done year wise or semester wise depending on the university. Examination is carried out by the University, under which the institute is registered. The examination is mainly alienated into three parts, the Main, Subsidiary and practical. The main includes the examination of all theory paper and that of practical include evaluation in the practical paper. The subsidiary exam is for the English and the other language option.

Remuneration after B.Sc Nursing

Remuneration for a B.Sc nurse depend upon several factors, the specialization, hospital of working, seniority, job type and even the institution they got the degree. In the Government service, for an entry level candidate will get Rs 6,000 to 15000 per month. They will also get other benefits like HRA, Uniform allowance, free medical services and Government allotted quarters etc. A senior nursing staff will get more than Rs. 25000 per month in various hospitals owned by government. Private hospitals and other private institution provide a salary which ranges drastically according to the reputation of the institution. The salary can be as low as Rs.7.500 per month for a fresher to Rs.15, 000 per month. For senior experienced nurses in different hospitals can draw salary up to Rs.35, 000 per month. The remuneration package offered for B.Sc Nursing candidates in most of the developed foreign countries are very attractive, the salary can go up to Rs.1-3 lakhs a month.
