While it is possible to do MBBS after B.Sc Nursing, I won't recommend it because it is a very bad idea. In the end you will be wasting your nursing degree which you have earned after 4 years of hard work.

Wasting in a sense that after completing MBBS you can either continue as nurse or doctor. If your intention was to become doctor then should have picked MBBS in the first place instead of doing B.Sc Nursing.

Therefore in my opinion it is not a good idea. Besides it would take another 6 years to become doctor. You have already spend 4 years in Nursing course. It would be better to take M.Sc Nursing course instead of MBBS.

As far as admission in concerned, it will be given on the basis of your performance in the entrance exam. Just because you have completed B.Sc Nursing it does not mean that any medical college will give you direct admission.

Unfortunately there is no such provision. You will have to clear the NEET entrance exam after try for the admission in MBBS colleges. There will be no direct admission neither lateral entry admission.

Some people think that having completed Nursing course means they will get a lateral entry into the MBBS. Since both courses are different, it is not possible. Besides even if some college offers you lateral entry, please decline the offer since Medical Council of India does not recognize any such degree.

So the bottom line is that if you still want to become doctor, you must appear for the MBBS entrance exam known as the NEET. You can not apply for the UG NET for 2013 therefore you must wait till next year to appear for the NEET entrance exam.

Alternatively you can apply for job in government or private hospitals. You can also apply for job in Public Sector Undertaking. Some PSUs do hire nurses and also offer promotion over the years. If you want to continue with studies and M.Sc is the good option for you.

Earlier there was an opportunity in AIIMS, but now none of the universities are offering this.

Yes, you must discontinue ur B.Sc(n) and apply for MBBS on the basis of ur Higher secondary marks or entrance exam
