Baihata Chariali B. Ed College, which was founded in the year 1994, holds the pride of being the first of its kind in the northeastern part of the district of Kamrup. The college was started according to the guidelines issued by the Gauhati University as an evening college. It began to function at a rented building and later it was shifted to its own permanent building in the year 1996.

Course details:

Baihata Chariali B. Ed College is offering Bachelor of Education course and the duration of the course is one year. This course offered by the college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education and the subjects covered under the course is divided into three categories namely core subjects, method subjects and additional subjects.

Admission Criteria:

For getting admission to the B. Ed course offered by the college, candidates must have completed their master’s/bachelor’s degree in any stream of education with not less than 45% of marks.

Admission Procedure and Fee structure:

The National Council for Teacher Education and the Gauhati University has approved the Baihata Chariali B. Ed College to admit 100 students per year. Admission will be made according to the norms issued by Gauhati University from time to time. The fee collected by the college for this course is Rs. 8000, which is inclusive of eligibility fees, tuition fees and affiliation fees.

The Baihata Chariali B. Ed College is constructed in a land spread over an area of 9010 square meters in the district of Kamrup. The building occupies a space of 1507 square meters, which includes classrooms, residence of the principal, canteen, multipurpose hall, common room for teachers, laboratories and library.
