Belda College was formed in the year 1963 on 16th August under Vidyasagar University. The college is accredited with DOE ACC ‘O’ level course under Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, by the department of Electronics Accredited Computer courses. More than 23 departments are functioning under this college and it is disseminating higher education to more than 3000 students in the state of West Bengal in India. The college has already completed construction work on the ground floor of its science department building as per the recommendations of the NAAC PEER Team.

Belda College is offering several facilities like hostel, library, student health home, student union and Anti-Ragging squad and committee to help the students.

Admission procedure:

Students are admitted on the basis of the marks secured by them in the 10+2 level and normally every year, the college prepares two merit lists of selected students. If any of the students in the first merit list do not take up the admission, the students in the second merit list are called for admission and the candidate should report as per the schedule provided by the college.
