Only Indian nationals are eligible for IAS and IPS. A candidate must have attained 21 years and should not be over 30 years. SC/ST has 5 years of relaxation. 3 years relaxation is offered to Other Backward class and 10 years for blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates.
