B.J Medical College, Ahmedabad
B.J. Medical College was established in 1871 as the Medical School of Ahmedabad with the intake of 14 students for Hospital Assistant training. The college was renamed after the late Honorable Byramjee Jeejabhoy in 1879 who contributed the amount of Rs.20,000/- to erect this magnificent building and was attached to the Civil Hospital at Gheekanta road. The college got affiliated to the Gujarat University in 1951 for under graduation and in 1956 for Post graduation. The college provides all sorts of study materials to its students in order to give par knowledge to them.
Infrastructure:
The B.J. Medical College is situated in Ahmedabad and is surrounded by all sources of transportation. The college provides well equipped library, laboratories, conference hall, LCD projector, and a well furnished office. The college also provides room for group discussion, interview rooms and canteen to its students. The college provides suitable conditions for studying and has well experienced and qualified faculty members for the students.
Courses Offered:
The college offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the aspirants. Mainly it offers MBBS, MS, MD, M.Sc, M.Ch and diploma in various streams.
Admission Procedure:
Admission of the students in this college is mainly based on merit result of higher secondary or its equivalent exams with Physics, chemistry and biology as their main subjects. The students have to give an entrance exam termed as GUJCET.
Placement:
Various training programs have been conducted by this institute in order to give practical knowledge to its students. The institute provides on campus placement facility to its students.
