Fresh B.E/B.Tech graduates in streams like IT, CSE, EEE and EIE are usually preferred for campus placement in KPIT Cummins . Apart from this, BCA and MCA graduates are also eligible to apply for the same. B.Sc or M.Sc graduates in streams like Information Technology or Computer Science can also take part in this placement process. It is necessary to obtain at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam. The detailed placement process includes an aptitude based written exam, GD (optional) and Personal Interview.


Eligibility Criteria for Campus Placement Procedure in KPIT Cummins

Generally, B.E/B.Tech graduates are eligible to take part in the campus selection process. Required qualification must be obtained in any of the following subject stream of specializations –

  • Information Technology Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering

Apart from this, candidates with any of the following graduate and post graduate degree can also participate in the placement process –

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Computer Application
  • Master of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Master of Computer Application

It is compulsory for students to score at least 55% marks in graduate or post graduate level with no back log papers during the placement process time.

Campus Placement Procedure in KPIT Cummins

The campus placement procedure in KPIT Cummins includes three main parts –

  • Part A – Written Test
  • Part B – Group Discussion
  • Part C – Personal Interview

The written examination essentially include 3 sections with questions from the following subject areas –

  • Interest
  • Mixtures and Alligation
  • Percentage
  • Permutation

  • Train

Section 2 – Logical Reasoning

  • Cause and Effect
  • Letter and Symbols
  • Statement and Conclusion
  • True statements
  • Verbal classification
  • Matching Definition
  • Complete the series figures
  • Clock and Calendar
  • Analogies

Section 3 – Verbal Ability

  • Prepositions
  • Sentence Correction
  • Synonym
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Antonyms

It is compulsory to complete the written test within time duration of 90 minutes.

Once a candidate qualifies the written exam, the next selection level is – Group Discussion (GD). This session is optional and the company holds the right to decide whether the selection process should include a GD or not (depending on the post applied for).  In case if Group Discussion is not held, then candidates can directly attend the session of Personal Interview. This session comprises both HR and Technical oriented questions (based on subject specialization). HR round will be based on questions relating to educational and family background, salary expectation, key skills, strengths and weaknesses, key achievements, knowledge about the company, and etc. Technical round consist of questions related to technical concepts from areas like Data Base, PL/SQL servers, Networking concepts, Oracle, Operating Systems, C++, JAVA and HTML. The academic project done by candidates during academic period will be evaluated and questions relating to its main application process will be asked.
