Capital Law College came into existence in the year 1982 and the college is located at the main part of the capital city of the state of Orissa at Bhubaneswar. The college has earned permanent affiliation from the Utkal University and permanent recognition from the Government of Orissa. The college is also permitted by the Bar Council of India to offer law course.

Three-year LL. B Course:

The three-year LLB course offered by Capital Law College is divided into preliminary law, intermediate law and final law. For each of these levels there are nine papers, while for the final level alone there are 10 papers.

Five-year integrated B.A - LL. B Course:

The five-year integrated course is divided into ten semesters and this course, students will be reading social science subjects like English literature, political science, sociology, history and economics along with law subjects in the first four semesters and the remaining six semesters include pure law papers, where in practical and theoretical training are offered to the students.

Eligibility for admission:

For seeking admission to the five-year integrated course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with not less than 45% of marks (40% for reserved category candidates) and they should not be more than 20 years of age. For Three-year LL. B Course, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream of education.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students to both courses is done based on entrance test. For three-year course a career-cum-entrance test will be conducted for candidates who have not secured more than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have secured more than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination will be exempted from taking up this test. For five-year integrated course, there will be an entrance test, which will have questions from general English and general knowledge.

How to apply:

Candidates, who wish to seek admission, should apply by getting the application form from the college on payment of Rs. 150 in cash. The application form can also be obtained through registered post on payment of Rs.200 in the form of money order or Bank DD drawn in any nationalized banks in favor of the Principal, Capital Law College, Bhubaneswar payable at Bhubaneswar.
