State Bank Of Patiala was intially named as Patiala State Bank and was founded on November 17, 1917. The bank is an associate bank of State Bank of India. The bank was made a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government of Punjab after India got independence in the year 1947. The bank was actually founded by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, who was the Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala at the time of British Rule. State Bank of Patiala got the status of being an associate bank of the State Bank Group in the year 1960. There are total 830 service outlets of the bank present in all major cities of the country.

Job Profile:

State Bank Of Patiala is recruiting Staff Selection Commission passed candidates on the posts of Clerk. Only sports person specially table tennis players are supposed to apply on the posts. Candidates, who are National Level players and are representing their respective states, are desirable by the bank.

Eligibility:

Candidate should be in between 18 to 28 years of age as on 30 November 2010. Candidates having age more than 28 years should not apply for the respective post in State Bank Of Patiala.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent. This is the desired minimum educational qualification set for the post. Candidates should have represented their state in National Event or District in the State level with distinction.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be provided a basic pay of Rs. 7200 per month. Candidates will be given the emoluments as applicable to award staff under various rules in force in Banks concerned from time to time.
