Admission Process in GCT, Coimbatore

HSC passed candidates having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects can apply for B.E/B.Tech degree. The qualification must be obtained from any of the recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks. Score obtained by the candidate in IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination) or TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) are considered for admission.

Engineering graduates with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for M.E/M.Tech degree in the concerned subject. Admissions are made on the basis of TANCET score. Those with a valid score in GATE are also eligible for admission.

Master degree holders with a minimum of 55% marks can apply for Ph.D courses. Selection process is done through a written test and interview conducted at Anna University. Those with adequate score in NET/SLET are exempted from attending the written test.
