Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University was incorporated in the year 1962. Initially, the university was established at Hissar. But later on, the university was set up once again in the year 2005 at Ludhiana. The major idea behind its establishment was to serve the society in best possible way by promoting the livestock production, health and prevention of diseases. The university performs this task by organising some teaching programmes. The university is also famous for undertaking the research work in selected areas.
