Demonstrator - Assam Public Service Commission
Abbreviated as APSC, Assam Public Service Commission was established in the year 1937 and the commission is made up of six members and a chairman. All these members are appointed by the Governor of Assam and the commission in addition to making recruitment, also recommends candidates for direct recruitment to different services of the Assam Government.

Assam Public Service Commission has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Demonstrator and the details regarding the notification issued by the commission of this position is given below
Name of the Vacancy: Demonstrator
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 103, which is divided among different department for which this position is going to be filled as follows:
• Anatomy – 16 (OC-09, STP-01, SC-02, STH-01, OBC/MOBC-03)
• Physiology – 18 (OC-10, STP-02, SC-02, OBC/MOBC-04)
• Bio-Chemistry – 07 (OC-04, SC-01, OBC/MOBC - 02)
• Microbiology – 07 (OC-04, STH-01, OBC/MOBC-02)
• Pharmacology – 12 (OC-07, STP-01, SC-01, STH-01, OBC/MOBC-02)
• Pathology (including Blood Bank)– 27 (OC-13, STH-01, STP-03, SC-03, OBC/MOBC – 07)
• Community Medicine (SPM)– 16 (OC-09, STP-01, STH-01, SC-02 and OBC/MOBC – 03)
Pay Brand: Candidates will be appointed in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6000 per month plus other allowances admissible under rules.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational qualification: Educational qualification required for each of the department is given below:
• Anatomy – MS-Anatomy
• Physiology – MD-Physiology
• Bio-Chemistry – MD in Biochemistry
• Microbiology – MD in Microbiology
• Pharmacology – MD in Pharmacology
• Pathology (including Blood Bank)– MD in Pathology
• Community Medicine (SPM)– MD in Community Medicine/MD in SPM
Candidates, who have appeared for their final PG examination in the year 2011 and waiting for results can also apply, however, these candidates should furnish the PG passed certificate to the Secretary, Assam Public Service Commission immediately after publishing of results by the concerned university.
Age: Candidates must be between the age group of 21 and 38 years as on 1st of January 2011 and upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Process of recruitment:
Recruitment shall be made based on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination and on the basis of their performance in the written test, which will be notified in due course.
Application fee:
Application fee should be paid in the form of original treasure challan for Rs.5 (Rs.2.5 for SC/ST candidates).
