Rajasthan Public Service Commission was established in the year 1949 after the LEE Commission recommended to set up a Central Public Service Commission in the country. The commission is actually located at Ajmer. It consists of a Chairman and two other members. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation, 1951 and The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation, 1951 were the two regulation announced under the provisions of Constitution of India. The appointments of the Chairman and the members of the commission are strictly made by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

Job Profile:

Rajasthan Public Service Commission is looking forward to make recruitment of eligible Indian Nationals on the positions of Assistant professor and Senior Demonstrator through the conduct of written test followed by an interview test. The positions of Assistant Professor and Senior Demonstrator is available in the Medical Health Department of Government of Rajasthan. The vacancies are available in different medical disciplines named Surgical Oncology, Radiological Physics and Dentistry (General).

Eligibility:

Interested candidates are required to follow the age criteria set for their desired position or else their application will not be considered by the commission. The maximum age limit set for both the posts of Assistant Professor and Senior Demonstrator is 37 years as on 1 January 2012. So, only those candidates, who have age less than 37 years are eligible to apply for the specified posts in Medical Health Department of Government of Rajasthan.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Professor: M.Sc. degree in Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics or M.Sc. (Medical) Physics recognized by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board is required for the post of Assistant Professor (Radiological Physics). For the post of Assistant Professor (Dentistry), candidates must possess a recognized MDS degree from a recognized Indian University.

Senior Demonstrator: For the post of Senior Demonstrator, candidates must possess M.Sc. degree in Physics with Dipoma in Radiological Physics. Those candidates, who possess M.Sc. (Medical) Physics recognized by Atomic Eenergy Regulatory Board, are also eligible for the post.

Assistant Professor: Only 12 posts are available.
(Surgical Oncology-3, Radiological Physics-2 and Dentistry (General)- 7).

Senior Demonstrator: Only 1 post is available.

Pay Scale:

Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Senior Demonstrator: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay the application fee by the means of C.S.C. only. The amount of application fee for General and BC candidates (Creamy Layer) is Rs. 250. Rs. 150 is the amount of application fee for BC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of Rajasthan domicile. SC/ST candidates of Rajasthan domicile are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 50 only.
