Food Corporation of India is reponsible for performing the distribution of food grains through the country, maintaining satiscafctory level of operationals stocks of foodraine and the operation for safegaurding the interestes of the farmers. The corporation was setup on January 14, 1965 as a government owned corporation. The headquarter of the corproation is located or situated at New Delhi. The corporation performs all its operations with 5 zonal offices and 24 regional offices. There are approximately 32 thousand employees working in the corporation at present. Mr. Siraj HUssain is on the post of Chairman as well as Managing Director in corporation.
