Jain is the Chairmand as well as Managing Director of the corporation. The corporation is a public sector undertaking wholly owned by the Union Government. The major functionality of the corporation includes the generation of nuclear power for electricity. The corporation performs all its operations under the administration of the Department of Atomic Energy. The corporation is also famous for being the only company of the country which uses nuclear fuel sources.
