Birla Institute of Technology was established in the year 1955 as an autonomous institute in the field of Engineering and Technology. The institute has been awarded with the status of being a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Mr. C. K. Birla is the Chairman of the institute. Mr. M. O. H. Farook is the Chancellor. The institute provides various undergraduates as well as post graduates courses to its students. The institute has an academic staff of total 205 personnel. 1. Recruitment of Director of Extension Centres:
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 55 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Professor:
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 45 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

3. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 45 years.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:

5. Recruitment of Registrar:

10. Recruitment of Assistant Librarian:

Application Fee:

An non refundable application fee of Rs. 1000 is need to be paid by the interested candidates (General and OBC candidates). The amount of Rs. 500 is need to be paid by SC/ST/PH candidates as application fee. The application fee must be made in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Birla Institute of Technology payable at Ranchi. Candidates should write their name and post applied for, on the backside of their demand draft.
