The Arts & Commerce College managed by Dr. Shirgaokar Trust was established in the year 1998 with the objective of spreading education. The trust has earned very good name mainly because of its noteworthy service for the past six decades. The arts and commerce college of the trust is affiliated to Karnatak University located at Dharwad.

Courses Details:

As the name implies the college is offering degree courses in the arts and commerce stream. The Bachelor of Commerce course offered by the college is divided into six semesters with English and any one of Hindi/Marathi/Kannada as compulsory subjects for the first two semesters and five other papers for each semester. The Bachelor of Arts course is also divided into six semesters of which first four semesters has English and any one of Hindi/Marathi/Kannada as compulsory subjects apart from Indian Constitution, Human Rights & environmental studies, personality development & communication skill and computer applications are compulsory subjects for I, II, III and IV semesters respectively.

Admission Eligibility:

For getting into the B.A and B. Com courses offered by the college, candidates must have completed their two-year pre-university examination of any board or university approved thereto.

Student Facilities:

Dr. Shirgaokar Educational Trust’s arts and commerce college offers facilities like computerized library with internet facility, facility to participate in sports like athletics, hockey, football, basketball and cricket and indoor games like throw ball, table tennis, chess and carom. Above all, to encourage the students scoring good marks in the university examinations, the college is awarding a cash prize of Rs. 5000 to meritorious students.

Activities in the college:

The college conducts several activities for the development of students like Red Cross, NSS activity, different cultural activities, ERC development and Alumni association.
