THDC India Limited has called for applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Engineer Trainee for different departments like industrial engineering and civil engineering and Executive Trainee for Geology and Human Resource Management. Here are the details regarding the notification issued by the company in this regard:

Name of the Vacancies: Engineer Trainee for Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering disciplines and Executive Trainee for Geology and Human Resource Management

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 14, which is divided among the aforesaid departments and positions as follows:

• Engineer Trainee - 07

o Industrial Engineering – 02 (General)

o Civil Engineering – 05 (General – 03, ST – 01 and OBC – 01) (inclusive of one backlog vacancy for ST category)

• Executive Trainee – 07

o Geology – 04 (General – 03, SC – 01)

o Human Resource Management – 03 (General – 01, SC-01, ST – 01)

Period of Training – One year

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.20600-3%-46500 during the period of training. After successful completion of training, they will be absorbed as Engineer/Executive in E-2A grade in the pay scale of Rs.24900-3%-50500 (IDA).

Educational Qualification:

For Engineer Trainee:

The basic requirement for all branches it that candidates must be full-time degree holders in Engineering/technology from a recognized Indian university or institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. Only candidates with not less than 65% aggregate marks in all semesters combined together and 65% of marks at class X and XII board examinations will be considered.  The disciplines in which candidates must have completed their degree for each branch of engineering is given below:

• Industrial Engineering – Industrial Engineering/Production & Industrial Engineering

• Civil Engineering – Civil Engineering

For Executive Trainee:

• Geology – M. Sc/M. Tech in applied geology or equivalent qualification preferably with specialization in Engineering geology from a recognized university or institution.

• Human Resource Management – Two-year Full-time PG degree/Diploma in Personnel Management or PG degree in business administration with specialization in industrial relations or personnel management or Master of Social work from a recognized institution or university approved by AICTE

Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st of January 2012
