MARKFED, Punjab has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Field Officer Preservation and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect:

Name of the Vacancy: Field Officer Preservation

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 15, divided among the different category of candidates as follows:

• SC – 07

• Ex-servicemen – 05 (BC-1, SC-1 and General – 3)

• Handicapped – 02

• Sportsman – 01 (SC)

Pay Brand: Candidates selected for the position of Field Officer Preservation will be coming under the pay brand of Rs. 10300-34800+Grade Pay of Rs.3800. The initial pay would be Rs.14590 plus other admissible allowances.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification:

Candidates must have completed their B. Sc Agriculture (first division) and should possess knowledge of MS-Office and knowledge of Punjabi at matriculation level.

Age: To apply for the position of Field Officer Preservation, candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 37 years of age as on the 1st of January 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and BC candidates and by 10 years for handicapped candidates.

Mode of selection:

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written examination and there will not be any interview. The written test will be conducted for 100 marks, which is divided as 20 marks for language proficiency, 20 for general knowledge, 10 for mathematical skills, 10 for mental ability and IQ determination and 40 marks according to the prescribed qualification for the position.

Application fee:

The cost of application for general category candidates is Rs.700 and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.350. Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee. The fee should be paid only in the form of DD/pay order/banker’s cheque drawn in favor of Punjab State Co-operative Supply & Marketing Federation Limited payable at Chandigarh.
