Hello everyone, I want to apply in Delhi Polytechnic CET. But I don’t know that upto what age I can apply for this entrance exam. Can anyone of you tell me about the age limit for appearing in this entrance exam?

Age limit to appear in Delhi Polytechnic Common Entrance Test:

Minimum age limit required to appear in polytechnic entrance test is 15 years.

Maximum age limit required for boys is 21 years.

Maximum age limit for girls is 23 years.

Maximum age limit required for OBC Boys is 24 years and for OBC girls is 26 years.

Maximum age limit for SC / ST boys and girls is 26 years.

Age of an applicant should be 21 years to apply for Delhi Polytechnic 2019. There is age relaxation of 3 years in April age limit of OBC candidates hence they can appear in the entrance exam Till the age of 24 years.
The SC candidates can appear in this exam in the age of 26 years.

Delhi Polytechnic CET 2019 will be conducted for 5 tests. Test and category wise maximum age limit (as on 1st August 2019) are given below:

Test 1: Engineering/Technology based Diploma Courses & Occupational Courses
Gen (Boys): 21 years
Gen (Girls): 23 years
OBC (Boys): 24 years
OBC (Girls): 26 years
SC/ST/PWD (Boys): 26 years
SC/ST/PWD (Girls): 28 years

Test-2: Diploma Course in Modern Office Practice – English
Gen (Boys): 24 years
Gen (Girls): 30 years
OBC (Boys): 27 years
OBC (Girls): 30 years
SC/ST/PWD (Boys): 29 years
SC/ST/PWD (Girls): 35 years

Test-3: Diploma Course in Modern Office Practice – Hindi
Gen (Boys): 24 years
Gen (Girls): 30 years
OBC (Boys): 27 years
OBC (Girls): 30 years
SC/ST/PWD (Boys): 29 years
SC/ST/PWD (Girls): 35 years

Test-4: Diploma Course in Pharmacy
Gen (Boys): 24 years
Gen (Girls): 30 years
OBC (Boys): 27 years
OBC (Girls): 30 years
SC/ST/PWD (Boys): 29 years
SC/ST/PWD (Girls): 35 years

Test-5: For lateral entry
(For Delhi region candidates only).

Gen (Boys): 24 years
Gen (Girls): 30 years
OBC (Boys): 27 years
OBC (Girls): 30 years
SC/ST/PWD (Boys): 29 years
SC/ST/PWD (Girls): 35 years

Age limit to appear Delhi Polytechnic CET 2019:-

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should have passed class 10th exam conducted by CBSE or equivalent with minimum 35% marks or 3.7 CGPA with Science, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

Age limit :-

The gender and category - wise maximum age limits as August 1, 2019 are given below :-
Age limit for boys:-

Age for general category - 21 years
For OBC category - 24 years
For SC / ST/ PWD category - 26 years

Age limit for girls:-

Age limit for general candidate - 23 years
For OBC candidate - 26 years
For SC/ ST/OBC - 28 years.

Upper age limit to appear in Delhi Polytechnic CET 2019 are given below:

Boys – 21 years for General category, 24 years for OBC and 26 years for SC/ST/PwD

Girls – 23 years for General category, 26 years for OBC and 28 years for SC/ST/PwD

Those who are applying on the basis of class 10th, should not be above 21 years of age and those who are looking for lateral entry admission, should not be above 24 years of age.

There is age relaxation available for reserved categories. You can avail relaxation based on your caste certificate.
