Yes, you are eligible to apply for B.Tech course admission even if you have 2 subject backlogs in your Diploma course. But at the time of joining in B.Tech course, you should have cleared your backlogs else, your admission will be cancelled. To get admission in B.Tech course after completion of your Diploma course, you have to appear in Lateral Entry examinations like JELET, ECET, LEET, etc., which is conducted by your respective state entrance examinations board. By qualifying the entrance examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get admission in second year of four years Engineering course.

You can apply for entrance exam, but admission will not be confirmed until you have pending backlogs. You must clear all your backlogs in this session to get confirm admission in B.Tech.

Hence, you can appear in entrance exam surely, but everything will be provisional due to your pending backlogs.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
