Candidates who have completed their 12th standard with minimum 55% marks in PCM subjects are eligible to pursue diploma in nautical science course. As you have completed your 12th standard with just 50% marks in PCM subjects, so it would be a bit difficult for you get admission to pursue the above mentioned course. But, never lose hope you can still give a try as it just a matter of 5% some institutes may allow you for admission.

Eligibility Criteria Required to do Diploma in Nautical Science course:

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, you are not eligible to pursue Diploma in Nautical Science course after completion of 12th Class with 50% marks. Here is the basic educational qualification that is required to be eligible.

>> You must have completed 12th Class from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

>> The minimum percentage you must have secured in 12th Class is 55% marks to be eligible

Or

>> B.Sc with Physics stream with minimum 55% marks aggregate in PCM subjects

Or

>> B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized university

>> As per my knowledge you are not eligible with 12th percentage criteria, so you may pursue Graduation and then can pursue this 1 year Diploma in Nautical Science course with Graduation percentage.

Yes, for diploma in nautical science, you are definitely eligible. In fact, class 10th is the minimum qualification required for it. Admission will be based on the performance in the entrance exam.

You just need to appear for polytechnic entrance exam, which is conducted on state level. Admission will be through counselling.
