Can I do Engineering degree if I have only 49% in diploma?


I have taken 49% aggregate in diploma. Now can i do Engineering? Which college I need to apply for? Can someone provide me the information on how to get admission in the colleges as well? I really need to know about this as I am unaware of how to proceed. Kindly help. Thanks.

Most of the Universities ask for 50% marks in Diploma from a recognized Institute/College. There is relaxation of 5% marks for those who belong to reserved category. If you belong to any reserved category then you can apply for admission with this percentage.

Hence, apply for LEET if you fulfill the condition. Performance in this test will help you in getting admission in an Engineering degree directly into the 2nd year. There are many good engineering colleges in India which offer admission through LEET.

Yes, you can do Engineering course after completion of your three years Diploma course with an aggregate of 49% marks from a recognized board. To get admission in Engineering course after completion of your three years Diploma course, you need to appear in LEET or ECET examination. By qualifying LEET or ECET examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get direct admission in second year of four years Engineering course.
