I would like to join polytechnic college for diploma in mechanical engineering but I have got 47% 10th from wbcse(west began board) and the needed marks for diploma is 50% so can I join national open schooling(nios) to clear my marks.will the college accept this for diploma course??

Yes, NIOS is a recognized qualification for pursuing various courses like diploma and degrees. You just need to fulfill the subject criteria according to the course's eligibility.

Hence, you can try to apply for improvement or go for NIOS, if you are not getting admission due to less marks.

After completion of 10th standard, you can apply for diploma course.

Those candidates who have passed matriculation/10th with Mathematics, Physical Science & English from Central or State Board recognized by Govt are eligible to get admission in Diploma course.

Your age should be below 21 years.
