To get admission in Diploma course, you need to appear in Diploma entrance examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board. By qualifying entrance examination, based upon your entrance examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can pursue Diploma course in the same college.

For getting admission in a Polytechnic course in Mumbai you have to appear for entrance exam conducted by Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra. If you get a decent rank in the entrance exam then you will be eligible for admission in your choice of college through counselling. 10th is the minimum qualification required for the polytechnic entrance exam.
