Hello sir, I am in 10th standard and after completion of it want to study Diploma in Optometry course. Please give me details about this course with career opportunities?

Eligibility to study the Diploma in Optometry course is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with at least 45% marks. The optometrist will help evaluate a patient’s vision and help him find the right spectacles or contact lens. The need for the optometrist is high and candidates with good knowledge and skill are preferred for jobs.
Candidates after completion of the Diploma in Optometry course can a start private optical shop and lens manufacturing unit. They can also work in eye testing centers, optical shops, eye doctors, contact lens industry, eye hospitals, etc. Candidates can get jobs in optician shops and hospitals. They can also join the teaching profession.

Diploma in Optometry basically deals with topics of Patient Management, Psychology and Optometric Retail Management.
