How many years it take to complete BTech after polytechnic and polytechnic after 12th?

After doing a polytechnic course one can apply for B.E/BTech courses which people do normally after 12th and is 4 years long.

But if you take admission in any of the engineering courses after diploma then you directly get admission into 2nd year of the course.

After doing a polytechnic course one can apply for B.E/B.tech courses which people do normally after 12th and is 4 yrs long.
But if one takes admission in any of the engineering course after diploma.then you directly get admission into 2nd year of the course.

You can take admission in B.tech after polytechnic through lateral entry.
B.tech for diploma holders is a 3 year program .

--- If a candidate has completed Polytechnic then they are eligible to take admission directly in second year of BTech through lateral entry scheme ( LEET).
Usually, the duration of BTech is 4 years but if the candidate take admission in BTech after Polytechnic through lateral entry scheme then the duration of the BTech is reduced to 3 years only.
So, after Polytechnic you will be able to complete your BTech only in 3 years instead of 4 years.
