No, it is not possible to study B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) course after completion of your Diploma in Civil Engineering course. To be eligible to pursue B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) course, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board or three years Diploma in Engineering course from a recognised institute. Being a Diploma holder in Civil Engineering, you are eligible to get direct admission in second year of B.Tech Civil Engineering course through lateral entry admission process and you are not eligible to study B.Tech Chemical Engineering course.

I am very sorry to say that it is not possible to study B.Tech in Chemical Engineering after the completion of Diploma in Civil Engineering. Since, you have completed Diploma in Civil Engineering stream, you are eligible to opt for the B.Tech course in Civil Engineering through lateral entry scheme.
Candidates those who have completed their Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University scoring a minimum of 50% of marks in it are eligible to opt for the B.Tech course in the same through lateral entry admission.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
