Diploma of 3 years duration is not equivalent to 10+2. It is more than 10+2 because it will allow you to get admission in an Engineering degree through lateral entry, when compared to 10+2 student who get admission only in 1st year of Engineering degree.

Hence, if you want to study further then you must apply for LEET which will allow you to get admission in 2nd year of the Engineering degree.
